Never Forgotten Honor Flight
Based in Wasau, Never Forgotten Honor Flight is a non-profit company with a simple purpose: to fly veterans who served in the World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam War eras to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials rectified in their honor. These trips, which take place in April, May, September, and October of every year, provide a sense of “closure, gratitude & respect” to veterans, in addition to being free of charge.
Beginning its operations in 2005, the organization has since grown in size, flying more veterans than any other state in 2018. Flights have been delayed for the time being due to COVID-19, but the company expects to resume flights in Spring 2022, according to their official website.
