Here at Article 15 Bar & Grill, we are proud to be a veteran-owned and operated business. As such, we are pleased to support another veteran-owned business here in northeastern Wisconsin, Zero Dark Thirty Outfitters, which we will be spotlighting in today’s blog. We got in touch with its owner and operator, Travis Soletske, to get to know more about the company, including its purpose, mission, and more. Keep reading below for more information!
What ZDTO is All About
Though he would hardly constitute it as just a ‘business’, Soletske founded Zero Dark Thirty Outfitters upon his love for outdoor recreation – particularly hunting and fishing. “We specialize in getting veterans, disabled veterans, LEOs, and kids into the outdoors,” explained Soletske, “[we do] whatever it takes to get them out of the house and out of dark places if need be.” With the help of sponsorships, ZDTO can also offer complimentary and all-inclusive hunting and fishing trips to a select amount of veterans, whether able-bodied or disabled.
Care & Consideration to Customers
“Myself and my team are just normal people like everyone else,” said Soletske, “we put our pants on one leg at a time, we know how hard the ‘normal’ blue-collar guy works to pinch pennies to save to be able to go on a hunt or a fishing trip.” As such, Travis and his crew take great pride in ensuring that those who go on their trips have a great time. He assures, “we will do everything in our power to make your trip with us AWESOME!”
Being Veteran-Owned & Operated
When asked what distinguishes veteran-owned businesses from other businesses, Soletske expressed that “veteran-owned businesses are different because the owners typically come from a hard-working family”. He continued by saying that veteran-owned businesses “know what it takes to put in a hard day’s work” – a sentiment we would agree with!
Soletske explained, “I’m just a normal guy, I love God, my country love my wife, my kids, I love the outdoors, hunting and fishing.”
He finished by saying, “ZDTO will do ALL we can to put that trophy fish topside, or in the net, put that buck, bear, or turkey on the tailgate. I’ll buy the first round of celebration cocktails!”
