Veteran-Owned Non-Profits in Wisconsin

Perhaps our most outstanding trait here at Article 15 is the fact that we are a veteran-owned and operated establishment. Though we are proud of being a unique business in this regard, we are certainly not the only of our kind, as there are numerous veteran-owned businesses scattered across our home state of Wisconsin. Though we had covered a handful of businesses in one of our previous blogs, in this article, we’ll be taking a look at nonprofit organizations that are owned by veterans right here in Wisconsin! If that sounds interesting, keep reading below for more information!

The Spine Project – Green Bay

Thanks to the dedication of founder Dr. Julie Wyss, The Spine Project has gained traction in recent years for providing corrective chiropractic care to veterans and their families. A not-for-profit charity, the Project finds meaning and motivation in the sacrifices that continue to be made by America’s servicemen and women, and aims to selflessly provide service for them, their children, and families as a whole. In the future, the Project hopes to grow to the size in which it can serve school-age children with complimentary scoliosis screenings. “We’ve dedicated many hours and invested countless resources to this charitable cause, and hope you’ll help us continue this work”, a statement on veteranownedbusiness.com reads.

Victory and Valor for Vets Program – River Falls

This particular program was founded in commemoration of MSgt Derrick J. Schmitt, who served in the United States Air Force for 22 years, before his passing in 2015 due to military injury and exposure. In his honor, VVVP has provided assistance for Wisconsin veterans in need, including funding to cover rent, utilities, food, transportation costs, or others. This is not to mention that the Program also helps veterans with various mental health services, such as group therapy and counseling, while also helping vets maintain their physical wellness with fishing, hunting, boating, golfing, and more!
